What woman doesn’t like to shop for souvenirs or at least gifts to take back home for others when vacationing? Especially when in exotic places like Istanbul, Izmir or Kusadasi Turkey.
As you know by now, Archaeologous has ‘custom’ tours, so you can add a bazaar into your itinerary, no problem. Actually, it’s really fun for the guides as well. You’ll see banks, restaurants and everyday life going on in this roofed 6 block area with its 4,000 shops.
Take for instance our Istanbul private tour of just you and your family or personal friends. You end up at the Grand Bazaar. You can buy everything imaginable for everyone you know and it will be a one-of-a-kind item. The prices are right plus, you can always try to get it for a better deal (that’s the game). Many times you succeed. You know how good it feels when you get things on sale, or 2 for 1 or just a better price than you thought you would have to pay. Well, that’s shopping Turkish style... Not to be surprised when you out carry bags of new goodies. Remember to pack light when ‘coming’ on your Turkish vacation.
Whether at the Kemeralti Bazaar in Izmir, the village of Kusadasi, or the Spice Market and Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, remember to take money, wear comfortable walking shoes, hold on to your loved ones, and have landmarks and meeting points.
Safe travels and great adventures, the Archaeologous staff
